Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder seeks to fill one (1) position.  Persons applying for this position may be at either the assistant or early associate professor level.  Applicants at the mid-career associate professor level will also be considered.  The Ph.D. is required.  The fields of academic specialization include American Indian Studies with an emphasis on Comparative Ethnic Studies.  The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to engage in applied work with tribes, the Indian community, and with American Indian students.  There should be evidence of continuing published research.  The candidate should also have a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.  The search committee will begin to read applications on December 15, 2006 , and will continue the process until the position is filled.  The appointment begins Fall 2007.  The University of Colorado is committed to diversity and equality in education and employment.  Salary will be competitive and negotiable.
