Well, he's definitely the sovereign of all chicken wings.

"Professor Doctor Indian Scholar Ward Churchill …"

From time to time I’ve asked the Little Churchills if there was any facet of his life that Ward didn’t lie about and have never received a reply.

Was he ever straight about anything? It always seemed that anything more than a cursory glance and the cracks would start appearing.

Must be a soul rotting way to live.

Read this article about Tvind in baja California. They practice maoist self criticism sessions and thrive off clothing donations. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2010/feb/03/cover-mysterious-danish-exotic-compound-baja/

I've been criticizing some of those marine reserve opponents on indymedia. The sovereignty issue is separate. However, state forests, large private forests, and harvest level management of wildlife infringe upon traditional gathering and sacred sites as well, and the reserve approach isn't that new. The guy posting that conference runs a seaweed business and he's worried about his favorite collecting site falling in reserve, but they haven't proposed a map yet. in S. Cal, intertidal rocks have been totally depleted by people coming with buckets and taking every mussel and snail.

SBL: Your use of the phrase "they practice maoist self criticism sessions and thrive off clothing donations" without the requisite snark leads me to suspect you are not only barking up the wrong tree, but may even be in the wrong forest.

Incidentally, nobody thrives off clothing donations.

It's Hilda, Jake. She's gotta hold the record for sockpuppeting.

  — jgm () (URL) - 05 February '10 - 13:26
"Incidentally, nobody thrives off clothing donations."

You've never seen me in the Victoria's Secret stockroom after hours.

"thrive"? Is that what you kids are calling it these days?

  — jwpaine () (URL) - 05 February '10 - 15:56
Kinda hard to appreciate those "movie-star good looks" under all that ethnic studies research, Noj. Guess we just have to do as the ES historians do and use our imaginations.

  — jwpaine () (URL) - 05 February '10 - 15:59
jgm: Kinda figured that, but it was more fun to mock. As always.

  — jwpaine () (URL) - 05 February '10 - 16:00
'Deed.

Noj, your post made me hot. Even more than the previous one conjuring the image of you in lingerie.

I believe it was Wonder Wart-Hog who said it best: "Niz titz."

  — jwpaine () (URL) - 06 February '10 - 16:14
It turns out that WC, who focused only on children with about zero life experience, was an amateur. The IPCC fooled 85% of the citizens of Earth, not once, not twice, not three times...Here's yet another!

"Similar in effect to the erroneous “2035″ claim – the year the IPCC claimed that Himalayan glaciers were going to melt – in this instance we find that the IPCC has wrongly claimed that in some African countries, yields from rain-fed agriculture could be reduced by up to 50 percent by 2020."

"At best, this is a wild exaggeration, unsupported by any scientific research, referenced only to a report produced by a Canadian advocacy group, written by an obscure Moroccan academic who specialises in carbon trading, citing references which do not support his claims."

"Unlike the glacier claim, which was confined to a section of the technical Working Group II report, this “50 percent by 2020″ claim forms part of the key Synthesis Report, the production of which was the personal responsibility of the chair of the IPCC, Dr R K Pachauri. It has been repeated by him in many public fora. He, therefore, bears a personal responsibility for the error."

But Laurie, in a 1000-page report there's bound to be one or two inadvertent mistakes.

Gawd. Do we love WUWT or watt? The man deserves a Pulitzer or two, but of course will never, ever get one.

EURef is good too, but for some reason(s) I can't stand their site, so I just rely on WUWT to tell me when they have good stuff.

  — jgm () (URL) - 07 February '10 - 11:54
Whoa! There must be hippie chicks going there. Hey, we all know hippie chicks are easy better book my tickets. "Food sovereignty and indigenous cultural survival worldwide" may not spread their legs as easily as say, "No More War" but it's still workable. Now where's my bong and my weed!
